Prayagraj-Delhi Special Train Extended to Narayanpur Bazar, Offering New Passenger Convenience

Train Service Extended to Narayanpur Bazar

In a significant move to improve rail passenger convenience, the North Central Railway administration has announced an extension for the special train operating between Prayagraj and Delhi (Ghaziabad, Noida Dadri). The train, identified by numbers 02417/02418 (Prayagraj-Dadri), will now operate to Narayanpur Bazar station three days a week.

This expansion will provide a direct train link to Delhi for passengers in several rural and border areas of northern Uttar Pradesh. The decision comes in anticipation of increased passenger traffic during the festive season, including Dussehra, Diwali, and Chhath Puja. Devotees visiting Vindhyavasini Devi during Navratri Puja will also benefit.

Enhanced Connectivity for Rural Areas

With Narayanpur Bazar, a key station connecting the outskirts of Varanasi city, now included in the train's route, residents of areas like Ramnagar, Tengra Mor, Rasoolganj, BHU, and Jivnathpur across the Ganges will directly benefit. Furthermore, people from regions such as Ahraura, Madhupur, Robertsganj, Sonbhadra, and Chopan can now board this train to travel to Delhi.

The continuation of stops at important stations like Chunar and Mirzapur will also make it easier for people from areas up to the Madhya Pradesh border to secure seats on this train to Delhi. The commencement of a stoppage at Meja Road station will offer convenience to passengers from Manda, Sirsa, Korav, and Bhirpur.

New Operational Schedule

Under the revised arrangement, the special train 02417/02418 (Prayagraj-Dadri) will now operate four days a week. It will depart from Prayagraj every Sunday, Monday, Thursday, and Friday. From October 15, 2026, to December 13, 2026, there will be a total of 35 trips from Prayagraj.

The return service, 02418, will operate from Dadri every Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday. From October 17, 2026, to December 17, 2026, there will be a total of 36 trips from Dadri. The extended route will see special train 04163 (Narayanpur Bazar-Dadri) operating three days a week. This train will depart from Narayanpur Bazar every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday.

From October 17, 2026, to December 15, 2026, there will be a total of 26 trips from Narayanpur Bazar.
