Prabhas’ The Raja Saab Locks Sankranthi 2026 Release; Makers Deny Postponement Rumours

Putting all speculation to rest, the makers of Prabhas’ next big film, The Raja Saab, have officially confirmed that the movie will hit theatres on January 9, 2026, as a grand Sankranthi release.

Over the past few days, social media had been abuzz with rumours claiming that the film’s release had been pushed from January 6, 2026. However, the production house People Media Factory issued an official clarification, confirming that The Raja Saab remains firmly on schedule.

VFX and Post-Production in Full Swing

In their statement, the team revealed that VFX and post-production work are progressing swiftly. The makers also announced massive release plans across all major languages, including IMAX and other premium formats, to offer audiences an unparalleled theatrical experience.

The team further shared that the first copy of the film will be ready by December 25, 2025, and a grand pre-release event is being planned in the United States in December.

Star-Studded Cast and Crew

The Raja Saab features Prabhas in the lead role, alongside Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, and Riddhi Kumar as the leading ladies. The film also stars Sanjay Dutt and several other prominent actors in key roles.

The film’s music is composed by Thaman S, while it is written and directed by Maruthi. It is being jointly produced by People Media Factory and IVY Entertainment, with T.G. Vishwa Prasad spearheading the project’s large-scale production.
