Police Take Swift Action on Videos Showing Girls' Mistreatment in Bihar

Police have intensified their investigation and crackdown following the emergence of videos allegedly depicting the mistreatment of girls in Bihar's Jamui and Samastipur districts. Authorities are meticulously examining the footage to identify the perpetrators and comprehend the sequence of events in both cases.

In Jamui district, an incident involving a minor student and her classmate being allegedly molested and assaulted by several youths in the Madwa Hill area on September 19th came to light. The subsequent circulation of a video of this incident on social media prompted immediate police action to locate the accused.

Eight Arrested in Jamui Case, Demand for Speedy Trial

Police reported that as of September 23rd, a total of eight individuals have been arrested in connection with the Jamui incident. Beyond those seen in the viral video, police are conducting a thorough investigation into the involvement of others. They have also pledged to pursue a speedy trial to ensure swift justice for the culprits.

The primary accused in the Jamui case, Nandan Yadav, and his associate, Hare Ram Yadav, were apprehended on Tuesday following a police encounter. During the confrontation, Nandan sustained a gunshot wound to the leg, while Hare Ram fractured his leg while attempting to flee.

Mistreatment Video Surfaces in Samastipur, Police Investigation Underway

Meanwhile, a video alleging the mistreatment of a girl has also emerged from the Karpurigram police station area in Samastipur. This footage, which surfaced on the evening of September 23rd near the Jagatsinghpur Dam Bypass Road, has triggered an immediate police investigation.

Initial reports suggest that the girl had arrived at the location with a boy, where a group of youths allegedly assaulted the boy and chased him away. Subsequently, they are accused of behaving indecently with the girl. The Samastipur police are treating this case with sensitivity, focusing on verifying the video's authenticity, identifying the involved youths, and thoroughly investigating the entire incident.

Police are currently gathering available evidence and information to identify the perpetrators. As of now, there has been no official confirmation of any arrests in the Samastipur case.
