Shaurya Yatra and Somnath Swabhiman Parv on January 11

On January 11, the Prime Minister will take part in the Shaurya Yatra at around 9:45 am, a ceremonial procession honouring warriors who defended the Somnath Temple across centuries.

At 10:15 am, he will perform darshan and pooja at the temple. This will be followed by a public event marking Somnath Swabhiman Parv at around 11 am, underscoring themes of heritage, resilience and national pride.

Vibrant Gujarat focus shifts to Kutch and Saurashtra

Later on January 11, PM Modi will travel to Rajkot to attend the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference for the Kutch and Saurashtra region.

At around 1:30 pm, he will inaugurate the trade show and exhibition, followed by the formal conference inauguration at 2 pm at Marwadi University, Rajkot, where he will also address industry leaders, investors and officials.

State officials say the regional conference is aimed at boosting manufacturing, MSMEs, exports and infrastructure development in western Gujarat.

Ahmedabad Metro Phase 2 expansion to be inaugurated

From Rajkot, the Prime Minister will proceed to Ahmedabad. At around 5:15 pm, at Mahatma Mandir Metro Station, he will inaugurate the remaining stretch of Phase 2 of the Ahmedabad Metro, connecting Sector 10A to Mahatma Mandir.

This inauguration marks a major expansion of urban public transport in the Gandhinagar–Ahmedabad corridor.

Officials say the new stretch is expected to improve daily commuting, reduce congestion and support sustainable urban mobility.
