Pithampur Civic Body Equips Sanitation Workers with Raincoats Ahead of 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan'

Raincoats for Sanitation Warriors

The Pithampur Municipal Council has taken a significant step towards the welfare and improved working conditions of its sanitation staff as part of the 'Swachhta Hi Seva Abhiyan'. Recognizing the practical difficulties faced by workers during the monsoon season, the civic administration has distributed quality raincoats to all sanitation employees.

This initiative aims to maintain the pace of cleanliness work despite adverse weather conditions and ensure the health and safety of the staff. Present at the occasion were Municipal Council President Representative Mr. Suresh Patel, Assistant Engineer Ms. Meera Kannoj, Office Superintendent Mr. Vijay Kumar Ahir, Store Branch In-charge Mr. Ghanshyam Choudhary, Sanitation Inspector Mr. Rupesh Kumar Surya, and Vehicle In-charge Mr. Ravi Devda, along with other officials and employees.

The raincoat distribution program was conducted under the direction of Municipal Council President Mrs. Sevanti Suresh Patel and Chief Municipal Officer (CMO) Mrs. Aarti Garwal.

Preparations Underway for 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan'

Following the raincoat distribution event, a crucial administrative meeting was held to discuss preparations for the "Seva Sankalp Abhiyan", a state-level campaign set to commence on September 17, 2026.

The meeting was chaired by CMO Mrs. Aarti Garwal and attended by the civic body's Assistant Engineer and all department heads. During the meeting, an action plan was formulated with various points to ensure the campaign's success.

CMO Mrs. Garwal instructed the concerned officials to ensure special sanitation arrangements in all wards of the city, make door-to-door waste collection more effective, and strengthen departmental coordination for the swift resolution of public grievances.

She also emphasized that all public welfare goals set under the 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan' must be completed within the stipulated deadlines. This dual initiative by the municipality – distributing essential gear to sanitation workers and preparing administratively for an upcoming important campaign – has boosted morale among employees. The proactive administrative measures have also raised expectations for the successful execution and positive outcomes of future campaigns in the city.
