Allegations of Illegal Land Occupation and Extortion Surface Against Piparagaon Village Head
In the Gram Panchayat of Piparagaon, located in the Mohammadabad development block of Farrukhabad district, the Village Head is facing serious accusations of significant irregularities. In response to these allegations, the District Magistrate has issued orders for an impartial investigation into the entire matter.
Government Land Allegedly Leased for Annual Rent
Villagers claim that the Village Head is facilitating illegal occupation of government land and subsequently extorting money from it. A resident named Shailesh Dixit submitted a complaint to the District Magistrate, stating that Plot No. 1336, covering an area of 1.060300 hectares, is officially registered in the name of the primary school. It is alleged that the Village Head has allocated this government land to individuals like Ramveer, Vishal, and Rangeelal for an annual rent of ₹10,000 per bigha. According to the complainant, the Village Head is thus illegally collecting funds from government property.
MGNREGA Workers Ignored in Road Construction
In another petition, Shailesh Dixit has also exposed irregularities in the construction of a village road (chakrot). The complaint states that despite clear government directives mandating that road construction be carried out exclusively by MGNREGA workers, the Village Head is arbitrarily using JCB machines. When villagers protested this alleged arbitrariness and violation of rules, they claim the Village Head threatened them.
The accused Village Head reportedly stated that they fear no complaints and are free to work as they please.
Concerns Over Misuse of Government Property
In addition to these serious complaints, irregularities have also been reported in the soil filling work for Plot No. 858, which spans 0.393 hectares. The District Magistrate, taking cognizance of all these grave allegations, has instructed the concerned officials to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter.
Investigation Underway to Prevent Misuse of Assets
The local administration will now conduct a detailed inquiry into all these points to prevent any misuse of government property and to take action against those found guilty. The villagers of Piparagaon are now eagerly awaiting the findings of this investigation by the district administration. They hope that this inquiry will shed light on the questions being raised about the Village Head's conduct and reveal the truth.
