Pioneer Public School Celebrates 80th Independence Day with Grand Festivities

Balrampur, August 16, 2026 – Pioneer Public School and College in Balrampur hosted a grand celebration for the 80th Independence Day, commemorating the 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav'. The school premises were filled with a patriotic atmosphere as students, teachers, and management participated with enthusiasm.

The event commenced with the joint flag hoisting by the school's Managing Director Dr. M.P. Tiwari, Manager Er. Akash Tiwari, Director Prakriti Tiwari, Treasurer Meeta Tiwari, Principal Ragini, Vice Principal Shikha Pandey, and Vice Principal Raghavendra Tripathi. School President Dr. Rajiv Ranjan was also present and welcomed the guests.

March Past and National Anthem Echo Through the Campus

The main ceremony began with a disciplined march past by students from classes 9 and 11, who saluted the national flag. Students including Ayush, Aryan, Adarsh, Ayush Tiwari-I, Ayush Singh, Sadma, Garima, Ilma, Talbia, Anshu, Shobhit, Adhikansh, Shershi, Shashank, Ansh, Tejaswi, and Shatakshi participated in the march past. All students, teachers, and staff members expressed their devotion to the nation by singing the national anthem.

Tribute Paid to Freedom Fighters

During the event, the school management and teachers paid homage to the freedom fighters by garlanding their portraits, lighting incense sticks and lamps, and offering flowers. This event served as a significant reminder of the importance of Independence Day and the sacrifices made for the country's freedom.

In his address, school Managing Director Dr. M.P. Tiwari stated that India gained freedom from British rule on August 15, 1947. He recalled that after nearly 200 years of subjugation, India became an independent nation due to the sacrifices and struggles of many great personalities. He highlighted that this year marks the 80th anniversary of Independence Day, a significant milestone in the nation's history.

Diverse Cultural Programs Organized

To celebrate the 80th Independence Day, the school organized a variety of cultural and creative programs, including slogan writing, group dances, group songs, solo singing, solo dances, fancy dress, art exhibitions, speeches, mehndi competitions, and house board competitions. The cultural performances began with a patriotic slogan by Ayush Tiwari, a student of class 11.

Young children from Nursery to UKG presented a delightful group dance to the song 'Hum Chhote Chhote Bachche Hain'. Students from class 2 performed to 'Tera Himalaya Aakash', class 3 to 'Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani', class 4 to 'Teri Mitti Ke Bete', class 5 to 'Talwaron Par Sar Vaar Diye', class 6 to 'Ek Tera Naam Hai Sachha', and students from classes 7 and 8 showcased a powerful performance to 'Bharat Ki Beti'.

In group singing, students from class 8 presented 'Saare Jahan Se Achha', while Avinash, Mariyam, Lavanya, and Medhavi from class 7 also delivered group singing performances. Student Shaurya from class 5 captivated the audience with his solo singing of 'O Desh Mera', and student Medhavi Singh from class 6 enchanted everyone with her solo dance to 'Aayo Re Shubh Din Aayo'.

Conclusion with Sweet Distribution

The event concluded with the distribution of sweets by the school's Managing Director to all the children and staff members. This entire celebration played a crucial role in strengthening the spirit of patriotism among the children and making them aware of the significance of the country's freedom struggle.
