Parents Protest at CP International School After Alleged Student Beatings

Students Allegedly Beaten by Warden, Sparking Parent Outcry

An incident at the hostel of CP International School in Farrukhabad has ignited parental fury, with allegations that the warden brutally beat students using pipes and sticks. A large number of parents rushed to the school late at night upon receiving information about the assault on their children, leading to chaos and slogan shouting on the premises.

The school, located on the Kayanganj Bypass Road, is reportedly associated with senior BJP leader and former Municipal Chairperson Mithlesh Agarwal. Parents contend that innocent children were subjected to severe corporal punishment.

Parents Detail Allegations and Seek Justice

Parent Anand Kumar stated that upon hearing about the beating of his nephew, he arrived at the school to find the warden intimidating the children, who were subsequently confined to the hostel. Students injured in the alleged assault were immediately taken to a private hospital for treatment.

Merchant Sumit Katiyar from Fatehgarh confirmed that his two children corroborated the reports of beatings involving several students at the school. Conversely, the school management attributed the incident to an 'internal student conflict', claiming the warden intervened to de-escalate the situation and subsequently resorted to physical discipline.

According to the management, no student sustained serious injuries, and eight students were taken to the hospital for precautionary check-ups. However, the unsteady gait and visible condition of some students returning from the hospital further inflamed parental anger, raising serious questions about the school management's conduct.

Police Investigate, Security Concerns Arise

Upon receiving notification, the police arrived at the scene and have commenced an investigation into the matter. The inquiry into the entire incident is ongoing, with parents demanding justice for their children.

This incident has once again brought to the forefront grave concerns regarding the safety of children in schools, particularly in hostels, and the issue of alleged mistreatment.
