Students Allegedly Beaten in Hostel, Sparking Parental Outcry
Farrukhabad | July 22, 2026
Allegations of students being beaten with pipes and sticks in the hostel of CP International School in Farrukhabad have incensed parents. Upon receiving information late at night that their children had been assaulted, a large number of family members arrived at the school, raising slogans and protesting vehemently against the school management.
The incident occurred at the school located on the Kamayganj Bypass Road in the Mauderwaja police station area. The school is operated by Mithlesh Agarwal, a senior BJP leader and former municipal chairperson.
Parental Accusations and School's Defense
Relatives allege that the hostel warden brutally assaulted the young children. One parent, Anand Kumar, stated that upon reaching the school after receiving information, he found the warden intimidating the children, who were confined to the hostel.
The injured students were taken to a private hospital for treatment, where they received medical attention. Businessman Sumit Katiyar from Fatehgarh, whose two children attend the school, also arrived at the scene. He reported that the children recounted being beaten by several students.
The school management, however, attributed the incident to an internal conflict among students. They claim the warden intervened but also resorted to hitting students when the situation escalated. The management insists no student sustained serious injuries, and eight students were taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure.
Heightened Anger and Lingering Concerns
Despite the management's statement, the unsteady gait and visible condition of some students returning from the hospital further inflamed parental anger, raising serious questions about the school management's operational practices.
Police Investigation Underway Amid Safety Worries
Police arrived at the scene upon receiving the information and have commenced an investigation. The entire matter is currently under scrutiny, with parents demanding justice for their children.
This incident has once again brought to the fore significant concerns regarding the safety of children in schools and the management of their boarding facilities.
