Narmadapuram Municipality has taken significant action as part of a special cleanliness drive in the city, imposing a ₹2000 fine on Om Shakti TVS showroom for spreading garbage. This action aims to maintain the city's cleanliness in view of various ongoing events.
Special Cleanliness Drive Underway
Anurag Tiwari, the Nodal Officer for the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, stated that a special cleanliness drive is being conducted across the city under the direction of Municipal President Neetu Mahendra Yadav and Chief Municipal Officer (CMO) Vaibhav Deshmukh. The campaign's objective is not only to maintain cleanliness but also to raise public awareness about hygiene.
He further added that despite previous advisories, some individuals continue to litter, prompting strict action against them. Strict action is being taken against encroachment and littering.
Showroom Penalized for Violating Cleanliness Norms
On Monday, the municipality team found Om Shakti TVS showroom guilty of spreading garbage. Consequently, a fine of ₹2000 was levied on the spot. CMO Vaibhav Deshmukh was present during this action and instructed the showroom management to avoid such mistakes in the future.
This move underscores the municipality's commitment to upholding cleanliness standards and deterring individuals from littering in public spaces. As part of the ongoing special cleanliness campaign, regular actions are being taken against those involved in encroachment and littering in public areas. The primary goal of this campaign is to fulfill the objectives of the 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' and establish Narmadapuram as a clean and healthy city.
