Social Media Outrage Erupts Over Casteist Remarks

A case of offensive remarks made on social media against the Brahmin community in Farrukhabad has escalated significantly. In protest, people from various communities have united under a single banner, demanding stringent legal action against the accused from the administration.

Mass Protest and Memorandum Demanding Action

Led by Bhaiyan Mishra, District President of Vikas Manch, a large number of citizens gathered at the PWD T-point and marched to the Collectorate in Fatehgarh. The demonstrators registered their protest by raising slogans in honor of the Brahmin community. A memorandum was submitted to the District Magistrate and Superintendent of Police at the Collectorate, demanding immediate and strict action against the accused, identified as Sili Singh alias Sapa.

"These elements work to spread animosity in society, and they should be sent to jail," stated the protestors.

Bhaiyan Mishra further added that jail is the appropriate place for elements who divide society and use abusive language. Former Block Pramukh Kamlesh Pathak urged the administration to treat the matter with seriousness, noting that such incidents have occurred before, making stringent measures now essential. Angad Pandey, Divisional President of Rashtriya Bajrang Dal, described the accused as a habitual offender, claiming such individuals sow chaos in society. Dheeraj Pandey, State President of the Human Rights Organization, even called for action against the accused under the National Security Act (NSA) to maintain peace and order.

Solidarity and Call for Restrained Language

Other speakers at the protest, including Nitin Gupta, President of the Vyapar Mandal, expressed their solidarity with the Brahmin community and emphasized the use of respectful language in society. All attendees appealed to the administration to ensure that such incidents are not repeated in the future.

Administration Assures Investigation and Stern Action

Upon receiving the memorandum, the District Magistrate and Superintendent of Police assured the protestors that a thorough investigation would be conducted and strict legal action would be taken against the accused. The administration clarified that anyone making offensive remarks against any community would not be spared, and the law would take its course.

Threat of Further Agitation

The protestors also warned that if swift action is not taken, a more significant movement will be launched in the coming times. Prominent individuals present during the protest included Munish Chandra Mishra, Ramvir Shukla, Shyamendra Dubey, Anil Dwivedi, Vijay Shukla, Dr. Mithilesh Pathak, Abhishek Dubey, and a large number of other citizens.
