NSS Advisory Committee Meeting Held at Madhav College

A significant meeting of the National Service Scheme (NSS) Advisory Committee was held at Madhav College, Gwalior. The primary agenda was to prepare the activity calendar for the upcoming session and promote innovation in NSS activities. The meeting finalized a detailed outline for session-long activities, student registration on the My Bharat Portal, disaster management training, and various social initiatives.

Key attendees included NSS Coordinator Dr. Harishankar Kansana, College Principal Dr. Shiv Kumar Sharma, and District Organizer Dr. Manoj Awasthi. The session placed special emphasis on actively involving youth in nation-building and social service efforts.

Promoting My Bharat Portal and Government Schemes

The Advisory Committee has decided to give top priority to the registration of NSS volunteers on the My Bharat Portal in the upcoming session. This initiative aims to educate youth about various central government welfare schemes and involve them in their implementation. This step will encourage young people to connect with government initiatives and contribute to nation-building.

Special Focus on Disaster Management and CPR Training

To equip youth with the skills to handle emergency situations, the action plan for this year includes disaster management and Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training programs. These trainings will enable volunteers to provide first aid in life-threatening situations like sudden cardiac arrest, allowing them to deliver immediate assistance and play a crucial role in saving lives.

Planning Social Work Including Traffic Management and Voter Awareness

In line with discharging social responsibilities, the NSS unit will collaborate with the traffic department to assist in efficient traffic management. Proposals were also made to support the administration during public events such as Ganesh Visarjan. The meeting also planned crucial social activities like organizing blood donation camps and conducting voter awareness campaigns to bring about positive change in society.

Also participating were Dr. Sanjay Rastogi, Dr. Vikas Shukla, Mrs. Sadhana Page, Dr. Sanjay Kumar Pandey, Dr. Sarita Dixit, Dr. Deepti Narang, Dr. Deepak Shinde, and NCC Officer Mulayam Singh Jadon. Volunteers Harsh Pal, Ujjwal Gupta, Garima Jha, and Tanisha Suryavanshi played active roles. The committee agreed to complete all proposed programs within the stipulated timelines.
