Extended Special Train Services for Festive Season

North Central Railway has announced an extension in the operational period of several key special trains. This proactive measure aims to manage the anticipated surge in passenger numbers during the upcoming Krishna Janmashtami, Puja, and the broader festive season. The decision is expected to significantly ease travel for millions of passengers, ensuring better access to confirmed tickets during this busy travel period.

The railway administration's initiative prioritizes passenger convenience. The special trains operating under the extended schedule will adhere to their original timetables, stops, and coach compositions.

Extended Services Details

1. Barauni-New Delhi Daily Special

  • Train No. 02563 (Barauni to New Delhi) will run daily from September 4, 2026, to November 30, 2026, adding 88 more trips.
  • Train No. 02564 (New Delhi to Barauni) will continue its daily service from September 5, 2026, to December 1, 2026, also with 88 additional trips.

2. Darbhanga-New Delhi Daily Special

  • Train No. 02569 (Darbhanga to New Delhi) will operate daily from September 4, 2026, to November 30, 2026, with 88 extra services.
  • Train No. 02570 (New Delhi to Darbhanga) will maintain its daily schedule from September 5, 2026, to December 1, 2026, offering another 88 trips.

3. Gwalior-Barauni Bi-weekly Special

  • Train No. 04137 (Gwalior to Barauni) will run every Saturday and Tuesday from September 29, 2026, to November 28, 2026, adding 18 trips.
  • Train No. 04138 (Barauni to Gwalior) will operate every Sunday and Wednesday from September 30, 2026, to November 29, 2026, with 18 additional services.
  • This train will comprise 20 ICF coaches: 1 AC II Tier, 1 AC III Tier, 6 Sleeper, 4 Chair Car, 6 General Second Class, and 2 SLR/D coaches.

4. Prayagraj-Hubballi Weekly Special with Additional Halt

  • Train No. 04113 (Prayagraj to SSS Hubballi) will run every Saturday from October 3, 2026, to December 12, 2026, with 11 extra trips.
  • Train No. 04114 (Hubballi to Prayagraj) will operate every Tuesday from October 6, 2026, to December 15, 2026, providing 11 additional services.
  • An extra halt has been provided at Chikjajur station. Train No. 04113 will stop at 10:50/10:53 AM, and Train No. 04114 at 11:50/11:53 AM at this station.

5. Prayagraj-Yesvantpur Weekly Special Duration Extended

  • Train No. 04149 (Prayagraj to Yesvantpur) will operate every Wednesday from September 30, 2026, to December 9, 2026, with 11 additional trips.
  • Train No. 04150 (Yesvantpur to Prayagraj) will continue its services every Saturday from October 3, 2026, to December 12, 2026, offering 11 more trips.
