NITTTTR Bhopal Commemorates 80th Independence Day: Pledge for Nation Building Through Technical Education

80th Independence Day Celebrated at NITTTTR Bhopal

The National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research (NITTTTR), Bhopal, celebrated the 80th Independence Day with immense enthusiasm and patriotic fervor. On this auspicious occasion, the institute's Director, Prof. C.C. Tripathi, addressed all the former and current officials, faculty members, staff, students, researchers, and young colleagues.

Prof. Tripathi paid homage to the countless known and unknown freedom fighters for their invaluable sacrifices, stating that freedom is not merely a right but a symbol of duty, responsibility, and deep commitment to nation-building. He emphasized that India is now entering a new era of development, powered by its youth, knowledge, advanced technology, and innovation, underscoring the increasing significance of technical education in this landscape.

Contribution of Technical Education to Nation Building

Director Prof. Tripathi clarified that the objective of technical education extends beyond merely producing engineers. It aims to create skilled and capable human resources who can deeply understand the nation's complex social and technical challenges and develop effective solutions. He highlighted the institute's commitment, over its six-decade journey, to continuously improve the quality of technical education and embrace new dimensions of training.

Integrating New National Education Policy with Cultural Roots

In line with the spirit of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, Prof. Tripathi also stressed the importance of integrating Indian knowledge traditions with modern science and technical education. He believes that the primary goal of education is not just to impart knowledge but also to foster a sense of deep understanding, pride, and responsibility towards one's cultural roots among students.

This harmonious blend of tradition and modern science can create an educational system that not only makes students knowledgeable and skilled but also prepares them to be sensitive citizens fully dedicated to nation-building.
