Nine Special Trains Passing Through West Central Railway Now Regularized, Offering Passenger Convenience
The Ministry of Railways has converted nine special trains into regular services, including four Amrit Bharat Expresses, to enhance passenger convenience and meet demand.

Regularization of Nine Special Trains on West Central Railway Announced
The Ministry of Railways has made a significant decision to convert nine special trains that pass through or originate from West Central Railway (WCR) into regular passenger trains. This move aims to enhance passenger convenience and cater to growing travel demand.
Under this initiative, four Amrit Bharat Express trains and five mail/express trains will be transformed into their regular versions, operating with new, updated numbers. This transition is expected to bring considerable relief to millions of passengers traveling on these routes, providing a more consistent and reliable service for long-distance journeys.
Four Amrit Bharat Express Trains to Operate Regularly
Four special Amrit Bharat Express trains passing through West Central Railway will now commence regular operations. These trains will embark on new journeys with their revised numbering, simplifying booking and travel planning for passengers.
The first train, the Prayagraj-LTT Weekly Amrit Bharat Express (formerly 04151/04152), will now be regularized as train number 20436/20435. It will begin its regular service from Prayagraj every Friday and from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) every Saturday starting August 21 and 22, 2026. This train will stop at Satna, Jabalpur, and Itarsi stations on the West Central Railway, improving connectivity for passengers in these areas.
The second, Prayagraj-Udhna Weekly Amrit Bharat Express (formerly 04125/04126), will be regularized and identified by train number 20437/20438. It will start its regular service from Prayagraj every Monday and from Udhna every Tuesday, commencing August 24 and 25, 2026. This train will halt at Bayana Junction, Hindaun City, Gangapur City Junction, Sawai Madhopur, Kota, Ramganjmandi, and Bhawani Mandi stations on West Central Railway, which is particularly beneficial for passengers in Rajasthan.
The third, Subedarganj-LTT Weekly Amrit Bharat Express (formerly 04115/04116), will now be regularized as train number 14121/14122. It will operate from Subedarganj every Thursday and from LTT every Friday, starting August 27 and 28, 2026. This train's stops on West Central Railway will include Satna, Maihar, Katni, Jabalpur, Narsinghpur, Pipariya, and Itarsi, connecting several important cities in Madhya Pradesh.
The fourth, Charlapalli-Gorakhpur Weekly Amrit Bharat Express (formerly 07075/07076), has been regularized and given the train number 22075/22076. It will run regularly from Charlapalli every Friday and from Gorakhpur every Sunday, starting October 2 and October 4, 2026. This train will make stops at Itarsi, Bhopal, and Bina stations on West Central Railway.
Five Mail/Express Trains Also Shifted to Regular Operations
In addition to the Amrit Bharat Express trains, five other mail/express trains have been removed from the special category and brought under regular operations. This will further enhance passenger convenience and make long-distance travel more accessible.
The Lal Kuan-KSR Bengaluru Weekly Express (formerly 05073/05074) will now operate as train number 15302/15301. It will commence regular service from Lal Kuan every Saturday and from KSR Bengaluru every Tuesday, starting September 19 and September 22, 2026. This train will stop at Bina, Rani Kamalapati, and Itarsi stations on West Central Railway.
The Rani Kamalapati-Agartala Weekly Express (formerly 01665/01666) will be regularized and known by train number 11665/11666. It will run regularly from Rani Kamalapati every Thursday and from Agartala every Sunday, commencing October 22 and October 25, 2026. Its stops on West Central Railway will include Narmadapuram, Itarsi, Pipariya, Gadavarara, Narsinghpur, Jabalpur, Katni, Maihar, and Satna stations.
The Jabalpur-Coimbatore Weekly Express (formerly 02198/02197) will be regularized as train number 20160/20159. It will begin regular service from Jabalpur every Friday and from Coimbatore every Monday, starting October 23 and October 26, 2026. This train will have stops at Narsinghpur, Gadavarara, Pipariya, Itarsi, and Harda stations on West Central Railway.
The Hapa-Naharlagun Weekly Express (formerly 09525/09526) will be known by train number 19525/19526 after its regularization. It will run from Hapa every Wednesday and from Naharlagun every Saturday, starting September 23 and September 26, 2026. This train will stop at Shajapur, Biaora Rajgarh, Ruthiyai, Guna, and Shivpuri stations on West Central Railway.
Finally, the Bikaner-Bandra Terminus Weekly Express (formerly 04711/04712) will operate as train number 14711/14712 after being regularized. It will start its regular service from Bikaner every Wednesday and from Bandra Terminus every Thursday, commencing August 26 and August 27, 2026. This train will have stops at Sawai Madhopur, Kota, Ramganjmandi, and Shamgarh stations on West Central Railway.
The Ministry of Railways has requested passengers to obtain detailed timetable and seat availability information for these regularized trains from the NTES app or Indian Railways' official inquiry services before their journey. The regularization of these trains is set to undoubtedly make travel smoother and more convenient.
