NIA Conducts Multiple Raids in Kashmir Linked to Delhi Red Fort Car Blast

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Monday carried out coordinated raids at eight locations across Pulwama, Shopian, and Kulgam districts of Jammu and Kashmir, in connection with a ‘white-collar’ terror module involved in the car blast near Delhi’s Red Fort, officials said.

Key Targets and Operations

The searches included the residence of Moulvi Irfan Ahmad Wagay in Shopian, who has been identified as the mastermind behind the radicalisation and recruitment of the terror module dismantled earlier this year.

Wagay was initially arrested by local police in October, and the NIA took over the investigation last month after assuming control of the probe into the blast that killed 15 people and injured several others.

Other Raided Locations

Raids were also conducted at multiple areas in Pulwama district — including Koil, Chandgam, Malangpora, and Samboora — linked to individuals associated with the Delhi blast.

Additionally, the NIA searched the residence of Dr. Adeel Ahmad Rather, who was arrested in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, in early November.

Officials said further details on the ongoing searches and developments are awaited.
