Protest Against UGC Regulations in Farrukhabad

Farrukhabad, September 8, 2026 – The National Rights Front held a one-day protest at the Farrukhabad Collectorate premises on Tuesday, opposing the new regulations implemented by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Led by District President Abhishek Dubey and District In-charge Devesh Narayan Awasthi, a large number of activists gathered.

The protestors chanted slogans against the government and administration, demanding the immediate withdrawal of these regulations. They believe the UGC's new rules are anti-people and will have a severe adverse impact on the country's education system. The Front's officials emphasized that their movement would continue until the government repeals these rules.

Movement Gains Momentum

The leaders of the organization highlighted that the movement has received new strength with Alankar Agnihotri resigning from his post to support the protest. This development has injected new energy among the youth and students regarding the movement.

Speakers warned that if these regulations are not withdrawn in time, the protest would be further expanded in the future. Numerous senior officials and activists of the organization were present during the demonstration.

Prominent among those present were District Vice President Rajiv Dubey, National Spokesperson of the Farmer's Front Ved Prakash Shukla, Captain Sanjeev Kumar Agnihotri, Ramesh Chandra Tripathi, Ashutosh Mishra, Dr. Praveen Kumar Tripathi, Nanakram Dubey, Sanju Dixit, Anil Sikandar Mishra, Shivam Bajpai, Deepak Gupta, Narendra Dev Tiwari, Narendra Somvanshi, Jatin Narayan Awasthi, Aman Srivastava, and Harshit Balmiki, among others. All present unanimously reiterated their demands and submitted a memorandum to the administration.
