Preparations Underway for National Lok Adalat
A significant meeting was held on August 11, 2026, to prepare for the upcoming National Lok Adalat scheduled for September 12, 2026, in the Farrukhabad district. The primary objective, organized under the auspices of the District Legal Services Authority, Farrukhabad, is to ensure the large-scale resolution of minor criminal cases, cases under Section 138 of the NI Act (cheque bounce), and civil suits through mutual settlement.
So far, 10 cases under Section 138 NI Act, 1000 minor criminal cases, and 05 civil suits have been identified for this mega event. This Lok Adalat will provide a crucial platform for the swift and amicable resolution of these matters, thereby accelerating the justice process and offering relief to litigants.
Key Meeting Conducted for Lok Adalat Preparations
The meeting was convened at the ADR Bhavan under the guidance of the District Judge and Chairman of the District Legal Services Authority, Farrukhabad, Mr. Neeraj Kumar, and presided over by the Additional District Judge and Nodal Officer, Mr. Sanjay Kumar-VI. The proceedings were conducted by the Full-time Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority, Mrs. Bindia Bhatnagar.
During the meeting, the Nodal Officer instructed the concerned officials to identify more cases so that the benefits of the Lok Adalat can reach a wider section of citizens. Several other esteemed judicial officers were also present, deliberating on the preparations and strategies for the Lok Adalat. This initiative aims to reduce the burden on the justice system and provide citizens with a simple and effective means to resolve their disputes.
