National Ayurveda Day in Narmadapuram Benefits Over 2600 Individuals

District Celebrates 11th National Ayurveda Day

Narmadapuram district vibrantly marked the 11th National Ayurveda Day with the theme 'Ayurveda for a Healthy Future,' aligning with the guidelines of the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, and the Madhya Pradesh government. The main hub of the event, held under the guidance of District AYUSH Officer Dr. SR Karonjia, was the AYUSH wing at the District Hospital premises, where free medical treatment was provided to hundreds.

The celebration commenced with a lamp-lighting ceremony and floral offering before the statue of Lord Dhanvantari by Rajya Sabha MP Maya Narolia and Municipal Council President Neetu Mahendra Yadav. A district-level medical camp saw a registration of 223 patients. The district hospital team conducted crucial tests like sugar and blood pressure and distributed free Ayurvedic medicines.

Awareness and Treatment Emphasized

Key medical officials including Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) Dr. Narsingh Gahlod, along with several AYUSH doctors and paramedical staff, were present at the health camp. Social worker Nalin Patel, yoga instructor Kamlesh Gaur, and various senior citizens also participated in the event. To foster awareness about Ayurveda, district-wide campaigns were organized in schools, colleges, and Anganwadi centers.

These campaigns included lectures on the importance of conserving medicinal plants and adopting Ayurveda in daily routines. Through these extensive efforts, over 2600 beneficiaries in the district received health check-ups and other benefits. The AYUSH department organized this successful event to disseminate the utility and health benefits of Ayurveda to the masses, encouraging them to incorporate this natural healing system into their daily lives.
