Recycled Materials Transform Teaching in Narsinghgarh

In a special educational dialogue program held at the Jamunia Gop Chauhan cluster in the Narsinghgarh block on September 26, 2026, teachers from grades six to eight acquired the art of creating Teaching Learning Materials (TLMs).

The program, organized as per the directives of the State Education Center, aimed to teach educators how to build effective teaching tools affordably using the 'kabaad se jugad' (making do with scrap) approach. This initiative seeks to simplify complex subjects for students.

Engaging Participants and Creative Outputs

Teachers from all secondary schools in the cluster participated with enthusiasm. They utilized paper, thread, and other common, unused items to develop useful materials for explaining complex concepts in science, social science, and mathematics.

The teachers also presented their creations, showcasing their creativity and innovative capabilities. This hands-on approach was lauded by the special guest.

Emphasis on Experiential Learning

“The teaching materials prepared through the 'kabaad se jugad' method are not only economical but also prove extremely effective in promoting experiment-based education,” stated Yogesh Kumar Shukla, Block Academy Coordinator.

Shukla emphasized that educators should not be content with merely showing materials to students. Instead, they should provide opportunities for children to touch, feel, and use these tools themselves.

This, he believes, will deepen students' learning experiences and enhance their understanding of subjects.

Call for Regular Innovation in Classrooms

The event was also attended by other dignitaries, including Cluster Principal Ashok Jatav, BAC Rambabu Sharma, and Jan Shikshak Sanju Das Bairagi. Teachers and education officials unanimously agreed that such innovative efforts should be regularly implemented in classroom teaching.

They are confident that this will lead to a qualitative improvement in students' learning abilities and make them more motivated towards acquiring knowledge. The program concluded with a collective discussion to determine future action plans for effectively implementing these learned techniques.
