Grand Matki Phod Competition Held at Narsinghgarh Gurukul

Narsinghgarh, September 8, 2026 – The Shri Dudhiya Dewan Gurukulam on Sanwasi Road in Narsinghgarh, Madhya Pradesh, hosted a grand 'Matki Phod' (pot-breaking) competition for Brahmin boys today. The event aimed to promote physical and mental skills among the Brahmachari boys, reflecting the traditions of the Gurukul and Indian culture.

A total of 50 Brahmachari boys from the Gurukulam participated with great enthusiasm. Divided into two teams, they showcased remarkable unity, courage, and team spirit. The young boys astonished everyone by forming a three-tiered human chain with exceptional agility and coordination.

Through this human pyramid, they successfully broke a high 'matki' (pot) hung from a tree, symbolizing their dedication and teamwork. The impressive height of the pot was a challenge, but the boys' spirits soared higher than any obstacle, painting the competition with their colors of victory.
