The Bengali community in Narmadapuram is stepping towards establishing a grand Kali temple. The Bangali Welfare Association, while finalizing preparations for the upcoming Sharadiya Durga Puja festival, has made a significant decision to construct a new temple in the city, modeled after Kolkata's renowned Southেশ্বর Kali temple. This initiative is expected to become a major center of faith not only for the Bengali community but for the entire city.

A detailed discussion of various proposals took place during the association's meeting held on the rooftop of RCC Mall in Kothi Bazaar. The event began with a tribute to the organization's departed members, particularly former secretary the late Neelkanth Ghosh and senior member the late Anup Mitra. Members observed two minutes of silence in their memory.

Association Formation and Society Fund Dedication

Emphasis was placed on further strengthening the organization during the meeting. The formal formation of the 'Bangali Welfare Association, Narmadapuram' under the Madhya Pradesh Societies Registration Act, 1973, was unanimously ensured. Alongside this formation process, the issue of consolidating the society fund also arose.

Previously, a sum of four lakh rupees, collected with the community's support, was deposited in the bank account of the late Neelkanth Ghosh. Honoring his final wish, his nephew and legal nominee, Shanu Ghosh, returned this amount to the association. This fund will be utilized for the construction of the proposed Kali temple.

Divine Kali Temple Construction Inspired by Southেশ্বর

The most decisive proposal of the meeting was to construct a grand Kali temple in the city. Members unanimously passed the resolution that a divine temple, inspired by the architecture and grandeur of Kolkata's famous Southেশ্বর Kali temple, will be established in Narmadapuram. The aim of this temple is to cherish the religious and cultural sentiments of the Bengali community, while also developing it as a sacred site for people of all faiths and communities.

Outline for Grand Durga Puja Festival

A detailed action plan was prepared for the successful organization of the Durga Puja festival. Office bearers held an in-depth discussion on venue selection, outlining cultural programs, fundraising strategies, and arrangements for daily 'Bhog' distribution. Members resolved to make this year's festival even more grand compared to previous years with their valuable suggestions.

To work effectively in this direction, tasks were also divided among members, assigning responsibilities to each individual. The association's office bearers will now advance the construction work and festival preparations with public cooperation, ensuring this Kali temple becomes a significant landmark on Narmadapuram's cultural map.
