In a significant step towards urban cleanliness, the Narmadapuram Municipality conducted a special intensive cleanliness drive across the city on Saturday. This campaign involved the removal of a substantial amount of garbage from streets, lanes, vacant plots, and drains.

The Municipality has announced that this campaign will now continue every Saturday, and citizens found littering in public places will be subject to fines. Swachh Bharat Abhiyan Nodal and Sanitation Inspector Anurag Tiwari stated that the campaign is being carried out under the special directives of Municipal President Neetu Mahendra Yadav and Chief Municipal Officer Vaibhav Deshmukh. He further added that all lanes, streets, vacant plots, and drains in wards one to thirty-three of the city were specially cleaned.

Regular Cleanliness Campaign Underway

The primary objective of this special cleanliness campaign initiated by the Municipality is to maintain the city's tidiness. Swachh Bharat Abhiyan Nodal and Sanitation Inspector Anurag Tiwari emphasized that this is not a one-off event but will be conducted regularly every Saturday.

This initiative is being led by Municipal President Neetu Mahendra Yadav and Chief Municipal Officer Vaibhav Deshmukh, under whose instructions a comprehensive cleaning drive was conducted across all 33 wards of the city.

Appeal for Public Cooperation

During the campaign, citizens were also urged to help maintain the cleanliness of their lanes, streets, and surrounding areas. In light of the festive and monsoon seasons, all supervisors have been instructed to remain particularly vigilant and ensure sanitation is maintained.

"The participation of citizens is extremely important for the success of this campaign," said Anurag Tiwari.

Urging City Cleanliness During Monsoon

Municipal President Mrs. Yadav and Chief Municipal Officer Mr. Deshmukh have specifically appealed to the city's residents and shopkeepers to cooperate with the Municipality's efforts in keeping the city clean during the monsoon season.

Citizens have been requested not to litter garbage from their homes and shops indiscriminately but to dispose of it in the designated garbage vehicles when they arrive. This collective effort will play a crucial role in maintaining the city's hygiene, especially as the festive season and monsoon commence.
