New SDM Office Hosts 'Amrit Harit Maha Abhiyan' Tree Planting Drive
Narmadapuram, July 25, 2026 – As part of the 'Amrit Harit Maha Abhiyan' (Amrit Green Grand Campaign), 151 saplings were planted at the newly constructed SDM office premises in Rasuliyia, Narmadapuram, on Saturday. The initiative aimed to raise public awareness about environmental conservation and enhance the region's green cover.
The tree-planting drive was organized by the local municipal administration. Municipal President Neetu Mahendra Yadav and Chief Municipal Officer Vaibhav Deshmukh demonstrated their commitment to the environment by personally participating in the planting. They also issued necessary directives to the concerned officials for the proper care and nurturing of the planted saplings to ensure their healthy growth.
Officials and Citizens Contribute to Greening Efforts
Deputy Engineer Reena Gupta stated that this plantation drive is a component of the 'Amrit Harit Maha Abhiyan'. Several local officials and citizens joined the effort, including Deputy Engineer Ayushi Richharia, City Manager Divya Mishra, Sanitation Inspector Anurag Tiwari, Gaurav Verma, and BJP leader Rohit Gaur. All present collectively contributed to making the environment greener.
This event follows recent review meetings on development works and public hearing sessions, where the Municipal President and CMO have been actively focusing on issues related to the city's development and citizen welfare. In recent months, the local leadership has emphasized the inspection of various development projects and the resolution of public grievances, indicating a focus on the city's systematic progress.
