Narmada Valley School Hosts Sapling Plantation Drive Under 108 Dev Vriksha Establishment Resolution

Environmental Awareness and Responsibility at Narmada Valley International School

The Akhil Bharatiya Agarwal Mahasabha, Narmadapuram, organized a significant sapling plantation program at the Narmada Valley International School campus. This initiative is inspired by the 2100 nirahar (fasting) days observed by Shri Dadaguru, and aims to spread societal awareness about environmental protection.

The primary goal is to foster a sense of responsibility towards the environment among students by connecting them with the importance of nature and tree conservation. During the event, fruit-bearing and shade trees of various species were planted within the school premises. These included mango, peepal, gulmohar, bel, jamun, guava, and neem, all vital for the local ecosystem.

Students, teachers, and officials from the Mahasabha actively participated with great enthusiasm. A collective pledge was taken to ensure the regular care, watering, and protection of the planted saplings, crucial for the long-term success of this campaign.

Students' Role in Environmental Protection

Alongside the plantation drive, a special interactive session was held for students on environmental conservation and the significance of trees. Children engaged by asking questions and sharing their thoughts on topics related to nature and flora.

Guests emphasized that trees are not merely tools for environmental balance but are essential for human survival. They highlighted current global concerns such as rising pollution, shrinking green spaces, and climate change as serious issues for humanity.

Speakers stressed that merely planting trees is insufficient; nurturing each sapling until it grows into a mature tree is equally critical. They urged students to care for plants at home, school, and in their surroundings, and to inspire others to join this vital effort.

Campaigns like 'One Tree in Mother's Name' were cited as examples, underscoring the continuous need for such initiatives to make nature conservation a collective responsibility. Expansion of the 108 Dev Vriksha Establishment Resolution

Officials from the Akhil Bharatiya Agarwal Mahasabha explained that the 108 Dev Vriksha Establishment Resolution is more than a general plantation drive; it's an effort to extend a deep sense of responsibility and service towards nature to all sections of society. The organization has committed to undertaking many more such significant activities in environmental protection in the future.
