Teachers Honored and Development Projects Launched in Nainpur

The Nainpur Municipal Council organized a grand ceremony on Teachers' Day, September 5, 2026, to honor retired teachers for their invaluable contributions to the education sector. In the absence of the Chief Minister, Minister of Public Health Engineering, Smt. Sampattiya Uike, graced the event as the Chief Guest.

The ceremony also marked the inauguration of completed development works in Nainpur town and the groundbreaking for new projects, collectively valued at over ₹1.72 crore. The event commenced with the traditional garlanding of the portrait of Mother Saraswati and the lighting of a lamp.

The Chief Guest, Smt. Sampattiya Uike, along with other dignitaries from the Municipal Council and attending teachers, were welcomed with bouquets, shawls, coconuts, and traditional tilak. This joint event underscored the significance of Teachers' Day, connecting it with social recognition and community development.

Gratitude for Retired Teachers

A highlight of the ceremony, held on the occasion of Teachers' Day, was the honor bestowed upon teachers who had retired after dedicating their services to various schools in the town. These experienced educators were presented with shawls, coconuts, and bouquets to express gratitude for their dedication, sacrifice, and significant contributions to education.

Speakers recalled the life and extraordinary contributions of India's great educationist and former President, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, to the field of education. They emphasized that teachers not only impart textbook knowledge but also play a crucial role in shaping students' personalities, developing their moral values, and determining their future path.

It was stated that the contribution of teachers will always remain invaluable and significant in building a strong, cultured, and progressive society.

Gift of Development Projects Worth Over ₹1.72 Crore

Alongside the teachers' honor ceremony, the Nainpur Municipal Council also inaugurated and performed the groundbreaking for various development works aimed at accelerating the all-round development of the city. The total estimated cost for all these projects amounts to ₹172.68 lakh (over ₹1.72 crore).

Under the 'Kayakalp 2.0' project, a CC (Concrete) road constructed from the Primary School to the Civil Hospital in Ward No. 14 was inaugurated. This important road construction will facilitate not only the commuting of local residents but also ease the travel for students to and from school.

Additionally, the construction of Pandit Deendayal Bhavan and a Community Hall in Ward No. 14 had its groundbreaking ceremony. Under the District Mineral Foundation Scheme, the construction of a Rain Shelter (Rian Basera) and Deendayal Rasoi within the Civil Hospital premises also saw its groundbreaking. All these development works are viewed as significant steps towards strengthening the city's infrastructure and providing better civic services to its citizens.

Presence of People's Representatives and Officials

Notable attendees at this prestigious event included President of Nainpur Municipal Council, Smt. Krishna Panjwani, Vice President Smt. Sanju Lata Vaishnav, Councilors Rajaramb Sharma, Smt. Sushila Chaurasia, Nitin Thakur, Sunil Vishwakarma, Mohit Kant Jharia, Nominated Councilor Smt. Kiran Swami, and Councilors Subhash Sen, Pradeep Mishra, Shalik Ram Jharia, and Madan Yadav.

Also present were Chief Municipal Officer Shri Laxman Singh Saros, former Municipal Presidents Balkishan Khandelwal, Naresh Chandrol, former Councilor Jugal Baghel, distinguished citizens including Monu Jain, Khubbi Lal Namdev, Nitesh Jharia, and Bhagwati Shridhar, along with a large number of respected citizens of the town.

Retired teachers, journalist colleagues Satendra Tiwari, Omprakash Soni, Zafar Khan, and Sameem Khan, and municipal officers and employees were also present on this occasion. The successful anchoring of the program was done by Shri Shankar Dayal Vajpeyi.
