Murder Case Registered Against Six, Including Former Zila Panchayat Member, in Brijesh Murder

Murder Case Filed Following Court Order

In a high-profile murder case involving Brijesh Kumar in the Raje Pur police station area of Farrukhabad, a murder case has been registered against six individuals, including a former Zila Panchayat member and his brother, as per a court order. Two unidentified individuals have also been named as accused in this FIR.

The FIR was lodged after the court took cognizance of an application filed by Balakram, a resident of Gram Chachupur-Jatpura, son of Rameshwar. According to the complaint, on May 8, 2026, Brijesh Kumar had an altercation with Mukesh Jaiswal, a salesman working at a liquor shop, over an unspecified matter.

Allegations of Murder and Police Inaction

It is alleged that on the same night, around 8:30 PM, Ramesh Rajput, Rakesh Rajput, Brijesh, Vasudev, Mukesh Jaiswal, and two unknown individuals took Brijesh Kumar with them, claiming he was needed for some work at the liquor shop and would be returned shortly.

According to the family, Brijesh Kumar did not return home late that night. The following morning, May 9, 2026, his body was found near the Ganda Nala bridge. Severe injury marks were found on his head, chest, and other parts of the body, indicating a probable murder.

Complainant Balakram alleges that despite reporting the incident, the Raje Pur police did not immediately register a murder case. Instead, they allegedly obtained his signature on blank papers and dismissed his complaint. It is further alleged that after the incident, the accused staged a scene with Brijesh Kumar's body near the liquor shop to divert attention from the serious murder charge.

During this commotion, police were allegedly stoned, leading the police to file a separate case for that incident, but no effective action was taken in the primary murder case.

Legal Recourse and Investigation Underway

Balakram informed the court in his application that fear of the police's attitude forced him and his wife to flee their home. He had also sent a complaint via registered post to the Superintendent of Police on May 26, 2026, but with no action taken, he sought refuge in the court.

In compliance with the court's order, the Raje Pur police have now named Ramesh Rajput, Rakesh Rajput, Brijesh, Vasudev, Mukesh Jaiswal, and four other unidentified individuals as accused in the FIR. Station House Officer of Raje Pur, Nagendra Singh, stated that the case has been registered as per the court's directive and a thorough investigation is underway.
