Development Works Review Meeting Held
A significant meeting was held on Tuesday in the Narmadapuram Municipality auditorium to thoroughly discuss the progress of development works and the obstacles encountered. The meeting was presided over by Municipality President Neetu Mahendra Yadav, with Chief Municipal Officer (CMO) Vaibhav Deshmukh also in attendance.
The primary objective of this review meeting was to expedite the pace of ongoing construction works in various wards and ensure their completion within the stipulated timeframe. During the meeting, the Municipality President and CMO engaged in one-on-one discussions with the directors of construction agencies, ward by ward.
Clear instructions were issued to concerned ward councilors, engineers, and construction agency representatives to establish coordination and complete the work on time wherever progress was stalled. Municipality President Neetu Mahendra Yadav specifically directed the construction agency directors in a stern tone that all approved construction works must be completed by August 30, 2026, without fail.
Emphasis on Coordination and Timelines
During the review, the various problems faced by construction agencies in completing their work were heard, and efforts were made to resolve them. To ensure that projects do not remain stalled, officials expressed their expectation for construction agency directors, sub-engineers, and ward councilor representatives to work collaboratively.
MLA representative Mahendra Yadav and Councilor representative Rohit Gaur were also present at the meeting, emphasizing the importance of accelerating development works. This meeting is considered a crucial step towards the timely completion of various ongoing development projects in the city.
The Municipality President and CMO stressed that quality work must be completed in a short period to provide better facilities to the citizens. They stated that each construction agency must have a clear work plan, and any form of negligence will not be tolerated. It will also be ensured that the materials used in construction works are of high quality.
Discussion on Future Plans
The meeting not only reviewed current development works but also included an initial discussion on other significant construction works and projects planned for the city's future. Municipality President Neetu Mahendra Yadav emphasized that when formulating future plans, citizens' needs and the city's long-term development should be taken into consideration.
She instructed CMO Vaibhav Deshmukh to prepare detailed proposals for future projects, clearly outlining costs, timelines, and expected benefits. During this, Chief Municipal Officer Vaibhav Deshmukh mentioned that new projects for the city's beautification and improvement of public facilities are also being considered.
He expected construction agencies to not only complete current projects on time but also to utilize their best capacity and experience for future projects. It was also decided in the meeting that such review meetings will be held at regular intervals in the future to ensure continuous monitoring of development works and prompt resolution of any potential issues.
