Mukesh Ambani, chairman and managing director of Reliance Industries, has retained the top spot in Forbes’ list of India’s 100 richest people, with a net worth of $105 billion, maintaining his status as a “centibillionaire.”

Ambani has recently expanded Reliance’s footprint into artificial intelligence with the launch of Reliance Intelligence and announced plans to list telecom unit Jio in 2026.

Following him on the list is infrastructure magnate Gautam Adani and family, whose fortune stands at $92 billion. Adani received a major reprieve in September when India’s securities regulator ruled that U.S. short seller Hindenburg Research’s allegations of fraudulent transactions could not be substantiated. The claims had caused significant share price volatility across Adani Group companies in 2023.
