On the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan, a unique confluence of brother-sister affection and trust was witnessed at the Sindhi Community Hall in Bhopal. Hundreds of sisters from the North Assembly constituency tied traditional rakhis to MP Alok Sharma, wishing him a long life.

During the event, the rakhis tied by the sisters carried messages from key public welfare schemes of the Central and Madhya Pradesh governments, giving a new dimension to the festival.
