Shrimati Manorama Jain, the mother of senior journalist Jitendra Jain, passed away on Wednesday. Her sudden demise has cast a pall of deep sorrow over the journalism fraternity, the Jain community, and the city.

Shrimati Manorama Jain was 75 years old and had been unwell for a considerable period. A resident of Geruwala Bungalow in Murar, she was a devout woman who spent her final days in prayer and devotion to God. She breathed her last on Wednesday morning.

Funeral and Tributes

Her final rites were performed at the local cremation ground, where a large number of fellow community members, including journalists, social workers, businessmen, friends, and distinguished citizens, were present to bid her a tearful farewell.

Various social and religious organizations, along with prominent citizens, have expressed their condolences, praying for the peace of the departed soul and strength for the grieving family during this difficult time.

Condolence Meeting Scheduled

A condolence meeting (Uthavani Baithak) will be held on Friday, August 21, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Mahavir Bhawan, Thandi Sadak, Murar. Distinguished citizens and journalists will gather to pay their respects to Shrimati Manorama Jain.
