'Seva Setu' Connects Citizens to Welfare Schemes in Kareli

The Kareli Municipality Council organized a 'Seva Setu' program on Sunday, October 4, 2026, as part of the 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan 2026'. The initiative aimed to bring various public welfare schemes directly to citizens under the 'Government at Your Doorstep' campaign.

During the campaign, over 300 beneficiaries received assistance through different schemes, with the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, pension schemes, Sabal Yojana, and Antyeshti Sahayata Yojana being the most prominent. The event commenced with the worship of Goddess Saraswati and the lighting of a lamp.

'Seva Setu' featured stalls from various government departments, offering citizens an opportunity for quick resolution of their issues. People particularly raised concerns related to housing, pensions, self-employment, education, health, and revenue matters with the officials.

Officials present elaborated on the resolution processes through the respective departments, making government schemes and procedures more accessible to the citizens. The campaign successfully distributed benefits from public welfare schemes extensively.

Widespread Benefits Under Various Schemes

Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, 171 beneficiaries received aid, forming a significant part of the program. Additionally, 45 beneficiaries were assisted under the Pradhan Mantri Svanidhi Yojana, 9 under various pension schemes, 5 under the Sabal Yojana, and 4 under the Antyeshti Sahayata Yojana.

Three students were distributed free Chief Minister Scooty Yojana scooters, which will aid them in their education and daily commutes. Under the auxiliary equipment scheme, 12 needy individuals were provided with essential assistive devices.

Hundreds of citizens underwent health check-ups at a health camp organized by the AYUSH and Health Department, further boosting access to healthcare services.

Sanitation Workers Honored and Encouraged

Sanitation workers, who significantly contribute to the city's cleanliness, were honored during the event. They were presented with new uniforms as a gesture of appreciation for their dedication and to encourage their continued efforts, underscoring the municipality's commitment to sanitation.

Presence and Directives from Public Representatives

The 'Seva Setu' campaign is an effective medium for establishing dialogue between the administration and the general public, stated former State Minister Jalam Singh Patel. He directed officials to ensure no eligible person is deprived of government scheme benefits and that all issues are resolved within a stipulated timeframe.

Municipal President Sushila Memar highlighted that development and public welfare have been prioritized over the last four years. She stated that the council's primary goal is to provide a permanent house to every eligible family in the city and that continuous improvements are being made in the field of sanitation.

The event was attended by a large number of public representatives and citizens, including former Rajya Sabha MP Kailash Soni, District President Ramsnehi Pathak, Vice President Anita Nema, and Chief Municipal Officer Shrikant Pater. The program was conducted by District Minister Rajat Chauhan, with thanks proposed by Ashish Dehria.
