Independence Day Celebrations at RSS Headquarters

Across the nation, a spirit of national pride and patriotism was evident on the occasion of the 80th Independence Day on August 15, 2026. In line with this, the National Volunteer Sangh (RSS) headquarters in Mahal, Nagpur, Maharashtra, also hosted Independence Day celebrations.

Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat hoisted the national flag, the Tiranga, here on Saturday, paying tribute to the heroes who sacrificed their lives for the country's freedom. Numerous RSS volunteers and pracharaks were present during this flag-hoisting ceremony.

Flag Hoisting Ceremony at Mahal Headquarters

Preparations for a special event were underway at the RSS headquarters in the Mahal area of Nagpur since early morning for Independence Day. As per the scheduled program, Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat unfurled the national flag.

During the flag hoisting, RSS volunteers and pracharaks participated in the ceremony with discipline. All attendees stood at attention in respect of the national flag and, after the national anthem, expressed their commitment to the unity and integrity of the nation.

Tributes Paid to Freedom Fighters

On this occasion, tributes were paid to the freedom fighters and martyrs who struggled for the country's independence. Independence Day serves as a reminder of the long struggle in Indian history, during which countless individuals sacrificed their lives for the nation's freedom.
