Student Takes Charge as Symbolic District Magistrate

In a unique initiative under the 'Mission Shakti' campaign in Farrukhabad, Piyali Dixit, a sixth-grade student from High Primary School Pipargaon, was appointed as the symbolic District Magistrate for one day. This event, organized under the guidance of District Magistrate Dr. Ankur Lathar, aims to foster leadership skills in girls and familiarize them with administrative processes.

This initiative is part of the nationwide 'Mission Shakti' campaign, which focuses on empowering women and girls and ensuring their safety and rights. Through this special program, young girls get a firsthand opportunity to understand the functioning of the administrative framework and develop leadership qualities.

Student Addresses Citizen Grievances

During her one-day tenure, Piyali Dixit attentively listened to the problems of six complainants during the public hearing. These grievances included serious issues such as illegal construction on government land, land encroachment, traffic jams due to encroachment, threats of false implication in molestation cases, and non-receipt of benefits from housing schemes.

Piyali took each complaint very seriously and listened patiently to the complainants. Subsequently, the student instructed the concerned officials to take prompt action as per rules on all these complaints and ensure their proper resolution. She directed the officials to personally investigate each case and take concrete steps towards a solution.

Fostering Leadership and Confidence

After the conclusion of the public hearing, District Magistrate Dr. Ankur Lathar honored student Piyali Dixit by gifting her a sapling. The primary goal of this special initiative is to boost self-confidence in girls, enhance their leadership qualities, and provide them with a better understanding of the government administrative system.
