Mission Shakti Rally in Mahoba Promotes Women's Safety and Empowerment

As part of the Uttar Pradesh government's 'Mission Shakti' campaign, the Kulpahar Police in Mahoba district organized a comprehensive awareness rally. The initiative aims to foster the safety, dignity, and self-reliance of women and girls.

The rally, held on Monday, focused on ensuring respectful behavior towards women and informing them about emergency services. Led by Circle Officer Kulpahar, Anirudh Kumar Singh, and under the command of Station House Officer Avadhesh Kumar Mishra, the procession traversed the main thoroughfares of the town.

Broad Participation and Route

Police personnel were joined by the Nagar Panchayat Chairperson, sanitation workers, and health department officials in the awareness drive. The rally aimed to spread awareness in areas including Govindnagar, Hatwara, Bazaar Ward, Gonda Chauraha, Main Bazaar, and the Bus Stand.

During the rally, police officers chanted slogans, appealing to the general public to treat women with respect.

Information on Rights and Helplines

Circle Officer Anirudh Kumar Singh stressed that creating a fear-free environment for women is a collective responsibility of every citizen, not just the police. Station House Officer Avadhesh Kumar Mishra affirmed that Kulpahar Police is fully committed to women's safety, in line with the government's vision.

He warned that antisocial elements involved in any form of harassment or indecent behavior would face strict legal action under a 'zero tolerance' policy. The rally also provided information on various helpline numbers for women and girls to seek immediate assistance in emergencies.

Participants were encouraged to contact:

  • Women Helpline: 1090
  • Police Emergency Service: 112
  • Women Helpline: 181
  • Child Helpline: 1098

Message of Societal Empowerment

A key objective of the campaign was to alert all sections of society about the importance of women's empowerment. The rally conveyed a message urging women to become self-reliant and be aware of their legal rights.

A large number of local citizens and dignitaries participated in the event, supporting the police's efforts. This phase of 'Mission Shakti' aims to highlight various aspects of women's safety and effectively curb crimes to build a secure society.
