Rajgarh: The decomposed body of a 17-year-old girl, reported missing since September 30th, has been recovered from a forest in the Malavar police station area of Rajgarh district. The gruesome discovery has sent shockwaves through the region.
At the scene, police found a saw and a rope hanging from a tree, indicating foul play and suggesting a murder. The case gained traction after the girl's family filed a missing person report at the Rajgarh Kotwali police station. Suspicion fell on a youth named by the family, prompting a swift police investigation.
During the investigation, it was revealed that on the same day the teenager disappeared, Anurag alias Ankit, a resident of Jamonia Ganesh in Narsinghgarh, died in a road accident. His motorcycle collided with a truck near Pagari Bangla in the Malavar police station area.
A Tragic End to a Love Affair and Murder
Preliminary police investigations suggest a love affair existed between the deceased youth and the missing teenager. It appears that Anurag alias Ankit eloped with the girl from Kareedi in Rajgarh. After taking her into the forest, a dispute allegedly led him to brutally murder the girl.
Following the murder, he is believed to have attempted to take his own life. Initial findings suggest he first tried to harm himself with a saw but, failing that, is suspected to have committed suicide by crashing his motorcycle into a truck.
Body Found After Seven Days; Police Conduct Detailed Investigation
In the course of investigating the kidnapping case, the police utilized call details and tower locations from the youth's mobile phone. This led to a search in the forest area under the Malavar police station.
The teenager's body, found in a highly decomposed state after seven days, was taken into custody by the police and sent for post-mortem. The police are conducting a thorough investigation into the entire incident to clarify all aspects of the events. The local community is devastated by this horrific incident and is demanding strict punishment for the perpetrators.
