District Magistrate Chairs Review Meeting

Mirzapur District Magistrate Pawan Kumar Gangwar presided over a district-level review meeting of the Chief Minister's Youth Entrepreneurship Development Scheme at the Collectorate auditorium. The meeting extensively reviewed the scheme's progress, loan sanctions, disbursements, and the resolution of pending applications, aiming to connect eligible youth with self-employment opportunities.

Accelerated Loan Disbursement Mandated

The District Magistrate instructed officials to expedite the loan sanction and disbursement processes to meet the scheme's targets. He emphasized that the scheme is a flagship initiative by the state government, designed to transform youth from job seekers into job creators.

"Ensuring that every eligible young man and woman benefits from the scheme in a time-bound manner is the primary responsibility of all concerned departments and bank officials." he stated.

He also directed that all applications received under the scheme be processed in a qualitative and transparent manner, ensuring no application remains pending unnecessarily. The focus remains on sanctioning applications from eligible candidates within the stipulated timeframe and completing the loan disbursement process.

Bank-wise Progress and Pending Applications

District Magistrate Gangwar conducted a thorough review of bank-wise progress, obtaining updates on achievements against targets. He ordered special campaigns to be launched at bank branches with pending applications to ensure their swift resolution.

He clarified that bank officials should not force applicants to make repeated visits. If any deficiencies are found in an application, the concerned applicant must be informed immediately and the deficiency rectified within the prescribed time.

The District Magistrate informed all bank officials that 662 applications are currently pending in their banks. He directed the immediate resolution of all eligible applications and requested a list of applications with minor deficiencies within a week.

The Industry Department officer was instructed to address the shortcomings identified in rejected applications and resubmit them to the banks. The Lead Bank Manager was also tasked with preparing and presenting bank-wise and cluster-wise lists of all pending applications to facilitate their resolution.

Emphasis on Awareness Campaigns and Camps

The District Magistrate highlighted the state government's efforts to provide ample opportunities for youth to establish self-employment ventures. He stressed the need for inter-departmental coordination to connect more eligible youth with the scheme.

He directed Industry Department officials to conduct a comprehensive awareness campaign across the district to inform more youth about the scheme and encourage applications. He suggested organizing special camps in rural and urban areas to provide detailed information on the application process, required documents, and scheme benefits.

"No eligible individual should be deprived of this important scheme due to lack of information," he remarked.

Scheme's Significance for Economic Development

Reviewing pending cases, the District Magistrate instructed officials to personally monitor and ensure their timely resolution. He ordered all departments to regularly review their progress and ensure accountability at every level, prioritizing time-bound and quality work.

Mr. Gangwar underlined the critical role of self-employment-based schemes in the district's economic development, creating local employment and boosting entrepreneurship. He mandated transparent beneficiary selection and zero tolerance for negligence in scheme implementation.

The meeting included detailed discussions on the status of applications for various enterprises, bank-wise sanctions, loan disbursements, and pending cases under the scheme. The District Magistrate directed regular coordination meetings with bank branches to ensure timely resolution of pending cases, aiming to empower youth and foster new enterprises and job creation in the district.

Present at the meeting were Chief Development Officer Vishal Kumar, Assistant Commissioner Industry Reshma Ara, Lead Bank Manager Anand Kumar Jha, and representatives from various banks.
