DM Addresses Public Issues at Janata Darshan

Mirzapur | August 31, 2026 - In a significant move towards public engagement, Mirzapur District Magistrate Pawan Kumar Gangwar presided over a Janata Darshan (public grievances redressal program) at the Collectorate. He listened intently to the concerns raised by citizens and took immediate action.

During the event, the District Magistrate directly contacted concerned officials via phone, ensuring on-the-spot resolution for various issues. He emphasized the need for quality-driven and timely disposal of all applications received during the Janata Darshan.

Emphasis on Decentralized Grievance Redressal

District Magistrate Gangwar stressed that citizens should not have to travel to the Collectorate for problem-solving. He directed that grievances should be effectively resolved at the Tehsil and Block levels.

He issued a stern warning that officials found negligent in addressing public complaints would face strict action. This initiative underscores the administration's commitment to making governance more accessible and responsive.

Specific Directives for Land Disputes and Housing Schemes

Addressing land dispute cases, the District Magistrate instructed Sub-Divisional Magistrates and Tehsildars to personally visit the sites for measurement and dispute resolution. For housing and toilet-related matters, he directed the Chief Development Officer to conduct thorough investigations and ensure that eligible beneficiaries receive government scheme benefits on a priority basis.

Furthermore, he ordered the relevant officials to take immediate action on complaints related to pensions and ration cards. The DM reiterated that the government's top priority is the swift and effective resolution of public issues to provide relief to the citizens.
