Minister Shukla Inaugurates Sant Ravidas's Harmony Journey

Samrasta Rath Yatra Launched in Bhind

Madhya Pradesh Minister for New and Renewable Energy, Rakesh Shukla, officially inaugurated the Kalash Rath Yatra as part of the 'Guru Ravidas Maharaj Samrasta Sankalp Abhiyan' on the occasion of the 650th birth anniversary of Sant Shiromani Ravidas Maharaj. The ceremony took place at the Mandi premises in Mehgaon, Bhind district.

During the event, local saints, spiritual leaders, and public representatives performed puja of the sacred urns received from Bhopal and distributed them among local delegates. Minister Shukla stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has resolved to celebrate the 650th birth anniversary of Sant Shiromani Ravidas Maharaj with great grandeur across the nation.

He further explained that Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has initiated sacred Kalash Rath Yatras across the state in line with this resolution. The Yatra, commencing from Mehgaon in Bhind district, will proceed to Dandaraoa Dham and subsequently traverse the entire district in phases.

Minister Shukla also informed that a grand temple and memorial for Sant Ravidas Maharaj is being constructed in Sagar at a cost of ₹100 crore, which will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Modi. He assured the continuation of development works based on Sant Ravidas's ideals.

Message of Harmony and Brotherhood

Highlighting the significance of the Yatra, Minister Shukla remarked that 650 years ago, when societal harmony was scarce, Sant Shiromani Ravidas Maharaj ignited the flame of equality amidst challenging circumstances. He expressed confidence that this Kalash Rath Yatra will awaken the message of harmony and brotherhood of Sant Ravidas Maharaj among the masses.

The Minister added that when society progresses with mutual brotherhood, patriotism, and unity, forces aiming to divide the nation will be defeated, and India will undoubtedly become a Vishwaguru (world leader). He urged citizens to participate in this Kalash Rath Yatra with full devotion and contribute to making it a grand success.

Prior to the ceremony, Minister Shukla honored the visiting saints by presenting them with shawls and coconuts. He also paid floral tributes at the statue of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar located in the temple premises.

Objective and Essence of the Campaign

This campaign and Yatra are being organized to broadly propagate the life philosophy of Sant Shiromani Ravidas Maharaj, his messages of harmony, devotion, service, social justice, and humanity. Under this campaign, the sacred urns will be transported via Rath Yatras to local Sant Shiromani Ravidas Maharaj temples and village levels by September 10.

The program was attended by District Panchayat CEO Veer Singh Chauhan, SDM Mehgaon, President of Nagar Parishad Mehgaon, Panchayat Sarpanch, and other public representatives, social workers, and a large number of citizens.
