The Cliff News | Shravasti | August 18, 2026. A one-day district-level Millets Fair, exhibition, and consumer awareness program on millet recipes was inaugurated at the D.P.R.C. Bhinaga in Shravasti on Tuesday. The event, organized by the Agriculture Department, was formally opened by District Panchayat President Daddan Mishra by cutting a ribbon.
The primary objective of this event was to highlight the importance of millets, their nutritional advantages, and to foster greater awareness among consumers. The chief guest, former MP and District Panchayat President Daddan Mishra, toured the various exhibition stalls set up by the Agriculture Department.
He urged the assembled public to take advantage of this initiative and incorporate millets into their daily diet. The fair facilitated detailed discussions on the necessity of millets, their diverse health benefits, government policies related to millets, and ongoing development schemes for farmers and the general public.
