Mayor Inaugurates Janmashtami Festivities

Bhopal Mayor Smt. Malati Rai formally inaugurated the Matki Phod competition on Saturday in the Teela Jamalpura area, marking the auspicious occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami. The event, held at the Teela Jamalpura Shopping Complex in Ward No. 13, saw a large turnout of devotees and participants.

Promoting Unity and Celebration

During the event, Mayor Smt. Rai encouraged participants to engage in the competition with sportsmanship and enthusiasm. She emphasized that such events play a crucial role in promoting social harmony and cultural connection. The Janmashtami festival celebrates the birth of Lord Krishna, and the Matki Phod competition is an integral part of this celebration, symbolizing youthful energy and unity.

Local Councillor and Mayor-in-Council member Shri Manoj Rathore was also present for the inauguration of the Matki Phod competition. Additionally, Shri Varun Gupta, members of the organizing committee Shitala Mata Janakalyan Bhakt Mandal, and a large number of devotees and participants were in attendance.
