Balrampur | September 2, 2026 - On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, the 'Matru Shakti Vandan' program was organized at Mohanlal Ramlal Inter College in Shivpura, within the Tulsipur assembly constituency of Balrampur. The event, hosted by Bharatiya Janata Party leader Dr. Vishal Mishra, saw enthusiastic participation from nearly five hundred local women.
During the program, Dr. Mishra distributed sarees as gifts to all the attending women. The event was also graced by prominent citizens of the area and a large number of local residents. Attendees were provided with detailed information about various public welfare schemes being implemented by the central and state governments.
Speakers emphasized that current governments are continuously striving to prioritize the honor, security, and self-reliance of women. Special focus was placed on the benefits women are receiving through schemes like the Ujjwala Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, and self-help groups.

In his address, BJP leader Dr. Vishal Mishra stated that the festival of Raksha Bandhan symbolizes not only the sacred bond between siblings but also serves as a significant occasion to express respect and gratitude towards 'Matru Shakti' (motherly power). He highlighted that respecting women is a collective responsibility of society.
"Under the able leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the government is committed to ensuring the security, dignity, and self-sufficiency of women," Dr. Mishra said.
Dr. Mishra underscored the vital role of women in societal development. He expressed his profound good fortune in celebrating Raksha Bandhan and honoring the women of the Tulsipur region. He also assured that similar programs for the welfare of the region's women and needy individuals would be organized in the future.
Local BJP workers, officials, and other distinguished individuals from the area also marked their presence at the event. The women participants enhanced the program's grandeur with their active involvement and expressed their gratitude to the organizer, Dr. Vishal Mishra.
