Massive Kanwar Yatra Concludes in Farrukhabad

Farrukhabad | August 23, 2026. A grand Kanwar Yatra was organized in the city of Farrukhabad, Uttar Pradesh, on Sunday, in anticipation of the fourth Monday of the Shravan month. More than 273 Kanwars participated in this significant religious procession.

The event, jointly hosted by the Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha and the Jai Bhole Baba Committee, aimed to foster devotion among devotees and promote harmony between different communities. The yatra commenced from the Shri Durwasa Rishi Ashram at Panchal Ghat and covered a distance of approximately 10 kilometers, culminating at the Shri Pandeshwar Nath Temple on Railway Road.

During the procession, devotees were showered with flowers at various points along the route, and were also offered sharbat and fruits. This gesture significantly boosted the morale of the pilgrims, adding to the devotional atmosphere of the journey.

Inauguration and Enthusiastic Participation

The Kanwar Yatra was formally inaugurated with chanting of mantras by Mahant Ishwar Das Maharaj of Shri Durwasa Rishi Ashram and Maduram Ji, head of the Shiv Shakti Akhada. A large number of adolescents, women, and men enthusiastically joined the procession.

Devotees danced to the rhythm of devotional songs dedicated to Lord Bholenath played on DJs, filling the entire atmosphere with spiritual energy. The vibrant participation underscored the deep-rooted faith and collective spirit of the attendees.

Security and Arrangements

To ensure the smooth and peaceful conclusion of this extensive yatra, the local administration had put in place special security measures. Personnel from the traffic police and local police stations were stationed along the entire route.

The police not only managed traffic flow efficiently but also paid special attention to the safety of the Kanwar pilgrims, ensuring the procession proceeded without any disruptions.

Appreciation for Organizers and Supporters

Following the successful conclusion of the yatra, Vimlesh Mishra, the youth state president of the Hindu Mahasabha, expressed his heartfelt gratitude via social media to all the devotees, organizers, and supporters who contributed to the event's success.

Several dignitaries and a large number of devotees were present at the yatra, including Pramod Dwivedi alias Bhole, president of the Jai Bhole Baba Committee; BJP leader Shailendra Singh Rathore; Atul Pandey; Jitendra Bajpai; Aviral; Raghavendra Mishra; Aryan Ashish Mishra; Ajay Dubey; and Rajiv Chaturvedi.
