Deori Celebrates Eid Milad-un-Nabi with Grand Procession and Displays of Brotherhood

The Muslim community in Deori, Madhya Pradesh, celebrated the birthday of Prophet Hazrat Mohammad Mustafa Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, known as Jashne Eid Milad-un-Nabi, with immense joy, enthusiasm, and mutual brotherhood on August 26, 2026. Various events were organized for the occasion, with a massive procession being the highlight.

Preparations for the festival began nearly a week in advance across the town. Flags, banners, flexes, and hoardings were put up in different areas, accompanied by attractive electrical decorations. On the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi, members of the Muslim community exchanged greetings and shared sweets to mark the celebrations.

Community Outreach and Procession Kick-off

The festivities commenced at the Community Health Centre, Deori. Fruits and halwa were distributed to patients admitted to the hospital and the staff working there, with prayers for their speedy recovery. Following this, a grand procession started from the Gandhi Ward Bus Stand and traversed through the main routes of the town.

Warm Welcome and Community Integration

As the procession reached Sanjay Nagar, members of the Muslim community warmly welcomed the participants. Water and tabarruk (holy prasad) were distributed during this segment of the procession.

The procession then continued through Civil Line Chowk, the main road, Gandhi Ward, Municipal Corporation Chowk, and Shah Mohalla, culminating at the Madina Masjid in Rangrez Mohalla. A large number of people, including youth, elders, and children, participated in this procession, which was marked by special enthusiasm with music from DJs, drums, and nagadas.

Muslim community members from various areas, including Gandhi Ward, Sanjay Nagar, Kanshkheda, Rangrez Mohalla, and Takia Mohalla, joined the procession.

Public Representatives' Support and Message of Harmony

The Municipal President, Neha Jain, and Councillor Trivendra Jat welcomed the Muslim brothers participating in the procession by showering flowers. They arranged for water to be provided to the procession participants and distributed it. Additionally, they boosted the enthusiasm of the children by giving them chocolates.

The Municipal President and Councillor extended Eid Milad-un-Nabi greetings and best wishes for the festival to all Muslim brothers.

Community Participation and Message of Brotherhood

The procession was enthusiastically welcomed at various locations across the town. In many places, people offered water and tabarruk to the participants, greeting them. Young children and youth showed particular enthusiasm, greeting the procession with flower showers.

During the event, Jahid Khan expressed his wishes for the speedy recovery of patients, stating that fruits and halwa were distributed at the hospital to celebrate the birthday of Prophet Hazrat Mohammad Mustafa Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam.

Anwar Qureshi congratulated the people of Deori and prayed for the good health of all residents and for them to live together in brotherhood. He emphasized that this is the message of Prophet Mohammad Saheb.

Amjad Khan stated that the Prophet Saheb always taught us how to live life with humanity and conveyed the message of loyalty to one's country. He expressed pride in living in India and conveyed the slogan 'Hindustan Zindabad'.

Sameem alias Guti Khan described the event as a symbol of brotherhood, noting that the warm welcome given by Hindu brothers to the massive procession organized by the Muslim community in various places signifies mutual harmony and unity. He expressed hope that everyone would continue to live together and support each other.

Throughout the entire event, an atmosphere of mutual brotherhood, harmony, and unity prevailed in Deori town, making the Jashne Eid Milad-un-Nabi festival even more memorable.
