Maruti Suzuki clocks record 3.95 lakh vehicle exports in 2025, leads India for fifth straight year

Maruti Suzuki India Ltd recorded its highest-ever annual exports in 2025, shipping 3,95,000 vehicles, marking a year-on-year growth of over 21 percent, the company announced.

With this performance, Maruti Suzuki retained its position as India’s largest passenger vehicle exporter for the fifth consecutive year, exporting 18 India-made models to more than 100 countries across Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and Europe.

Two models played a defining role in Maruti Suzuki’s export story in 2025.

Fronx sets new export benchmark

In July 2025, the Maruti Fronx became the fastest Indian SUV to cross 1,00,000 export units, achieving the milestone in just 25 months from the start of global sales in June 2023.

The strong overseas demand for the Fronx reinforced India’s growing appeal in the compact SUV segment.

Electric Vitara enters global markets

August 2025 marked the start of production of Maruti Suzuki’s first electric vehicle, the e Vitara, at the Hansalpur plant in Gujarat. The production rollout was flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Since then, over 13,000 units of the e Vitara have been exported to 29 countries, with Europe emerging as the primary market. The model has positioned India as an exporter not just of conventional vehicles, but also of electric mobility solutions.
