A man who allegedly carried out multiple thefts at the home of Bhojpuri star and BJP MP Manoj Tiwari has been arrested, bringing an end to a two-year-long pattern of break-ins. Police say the accused is a former domestic worker who used duplicate keys to quietly enter the property and steal cash amounting to ₹5.40 lakh.

Theft pattern revealed through CCTV

The arrests came after investigators examined CCTV footage from the house, eventually identifying the suspect’s movements during the times the thefts occurred. The footage reportedly confirmed that the culprit had intimate knowledge of the property layout and access points.

Two years, multiple thefts

Police sources stated that the thefts took place at different intervals over the last two years, with small but consistent amounts missing each time. The cumulative stolen amount reached ₹5.40 lakh, prompting a deeper investigation.

On 15 January, the suspect was finally located and detained.

How the accused used duplicate keys

Investigators believe the former helper created duplicate copies of the house keys while working at the residence. Once he left the job, he allegedly used those keys to sneak in during hours when the family and staff were away.
