Fatal Collision in Mohammabad Area

A tragic road accident occurred in the Mohammabad Kotwali area of Farrukhabad, resulting in the death of Sharad alias Sonu Shakya, a 30-year-old resident of Mainpuri. His wife, Khushboo, sustained serious injuries and is currently undergoing treatment at Lohia Hospital.

The couple was returning home after visiting Sonu's mother at a hospital. Sonu had gone to 'The Care Hospital' in Farrukhabad to check on his mother, Geeta, who was recovering from kidney surgery. They left the hospital around 10:30 PM on their motorcycle, heading towards their village, Nagla Sahay, in the Bewar police station area of Mainpuri.

Details of the Accident and Rescue

As their motorcycle neared Sakbai village in the Mohammabad Kotwali area, a speeding four-wheeler vehicle coming from the opposite direction struck them head-on. The impact was so severe that both Sonu and Khushboo were thrown from the bike and suffered grievous injuries.

Upon receiving information about the incident, EMT Ashwani Kumar arrived at the scene. He transported the injured couple to Lohia Hospital in Farrukhabad at approximately 11:30 PM. Doctors at Lohia Hospital pronounced Sonu Shakya dead after an initial examination. Khushboo's treatment for her severe injuries has commenced at the hospital.

Family Mourns, Police Investigation Underway

News of Sonu's death sent shockwaves through his family, plunging them into grief. The deceased's maternal uncle, Ashok Kumar Shakya, shared that Sonu had married Khushboo, a resident of Udayipurwa in Auraiya district, just a year ago. This heart-wrenching incident, occurring as they returned home, has devastated the family.

The police have initiated the necessary legal proceedings upon being informed of the accident. A pall of sorrow has descended upon Sonu's village following his untimely demise, leaving his family in a state of deep shock.
