BJP MP Locket Chatterjee has accused West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee of deliberately creating conditions to stall the SIR (Special Investigation Report) process amid rising political tension in Murshidabad following recent incidents of violence.

Speaking to reporters, Chatterjee claimed that the law-and-order situation in Murshidabad had deteriorated sharply and alleged that the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) was “shielding perpetrators instead of ensuring justice.”
