Makaraniya Municipality Celebrates Independence Day: MLA and Chairperson Hoist Tricolour

Independence Day Celebrated in Makaraniya Municipality

The Makaraniya Municipal Council hosted a dignified event on August 15, 2026, to commemorate the 79th Independence Day. Narwari MLA Eng. Pradeep Lariya and Municipal Council Chairperson Mihilal Ahirwar led the flag-hoisting ceremony, unfurling the national tricolour.

The ceremony commenced with the national anthem, followed by a heartfelt tribute to the brave martyrs who sacrificed everything for the nation's freedom. Dignitaries, officials, and staff present pledged to work with utmost dedication for the country's unity, integrity, and continuous development.

Call for Citizen Participation in Development

MLA Pradeep Lariya extended his Independence Day wishes and urged everyone to draw inspiration from the ideals of freedom fighters and actively participate in nation-building. He called upon citizens to contribute to the nation's progress.

Municipal Chairperson Mihilal Ahirwar read the Chief Minister's message. He congratulated all citizens on Independence Day and encouraged active cooperation in building a clean, beautiful, and developed Makaraniya.

During the occasion, employees who provided excellent service were also honored with letters of commendation.

Distinguished Attendees

The event saw a large attendance of prominent individuals, including senior social workers Shri Guljari Lal Jain and Shri R D Sharma. Also present were Municipal Councilors of Makaraniya: Shri Balwant Singh Thakur, Shri Vivek Saxena, Shri Narendra Singh Thakur, Shri Mahendra Singh Thakur, Shri Mukesh Patel, and Shri Nishant Athiya. Council representatives Shri Raja Richhariya, Shri Sonu Yadav, Shri Kamlesh Kushwaha, and Shri Ajay Ahirwar were also in attendance. Aldermen Shri Kedar Sharma, Shrimati Sudha Pawan Sharma, Shri Mukesh Yadav, and Shri Amit Singh, along with District Minister Shrimati Jayanti Maurya and Scheduled Caste Front District President Shri Madhukar Jatav, graced the occasion. Chief Municipal Officer Shri Pawan Kumar Sharma, Deputy Engineers Shri Satyam Dewalia and Shrimati Varsha Sahu, Shri Shani Jain, municipal officials, staff, and esteemed citizens were present in large numbers.
