Major Administrative Reshuffle in Bhopal: Nidhi Chouksey Appointed MP Nagar SDM

The Bhopal Collectorate on Thursday saw a significant administrative reshuffling aimed at making the capital's administrative system more effective and streamlined. As per the orders issued by Collector Priyank Mishra, several Deputy Collectors and Joint Collectors have been assigned new responsibilities.

As part of this change, Deputy Collector Nidhi Chouksey, who has been serving at the Collectorate for a long time, has been appointed as the Sub-Divisional Officer (SDM) for the MP Nagar division. The post of MP Nagar SDM had been vacant since Joint Collector L.K. Khare was promoted to Additional Collector. Now, Nidhi Chouksey will command this important area.

The jurisdiction of the MP Nagar division will include MP Nagar, Harijan Kalyan, Avadhpuri, Bag Sewania, Crime Branch, AJAX, Mahila Thana, and GRP Thana areas. The responsibility for maintaining law and order, settling revenue cases, and overseeing other administrative tasks in these areas will now fall to Nidhi Chouksey.

Deepak Pandey Given Key Responsibility for Elections and Census

In this reshuffling, Deputy Collector and City Division SDM Deepak Pandey has been entrusted with an additional and crucial responsibility. He has been given the charge of Deputy District Election Officer (Deputy DEO). He will now be responsible for election-related tasks as well as census duties.

This responsibility is extremely important from an administrative perspective, as tasks like elections and census require impeccable coordination, systematic record management, and timely execution. The success of these tasks directly depends on the capacity of the civil administration.

Ravish Kumar Srivastava to Oversee Revenue and Development Projects

Joint Collector and Berasia Division SDM Ravish Kumar Srivastava has also been assigned the additional charge of several important branches. He has been given the responsibility for tasks related to Land Resource Management, Relief and Disaster Management, Nazul, Revenue Recovery Certificate (RRC), Waqf cases, Land Acquisition, and the Metro project.

Additionally, he will also hold the charge of the Land Allotment Branch. Ravish Kumar Srivastava will play a central role in policy decisions and administrative coordination related to these various departments. An acceleration in the execution of tasks related to the integration of these important branches is expected.

Lakhan Chaudhary to Lead Public Grievance Redressal and Public Service Management

Deputy Collector Lakhan Chaudhary has been given the responsibility for highly crucial branches related to administrative monitoring. His responsibilities will now include CM Helpline, Samadhan Online, TL (Time Limit) meetings, Public Hearings, Public Service Management, and the General Complaint Branch.

The primary objective of these branches is to effectively resolve the problems of ordinary citizens, establish better coordination between various government departments, and regularly review pending administrative matters. Lakhan Chaudhary's role is directly linked to strengthening the public service system and ensuring administrative accountability to citizens.

Administrative Stringency and Future Expectations

This extensive reshuffling at the Collectorate level is considered a significant step towards accelerating administrative work in the capital Bhopal and ensuring a clearer and more effective distribution of responsibilities among officials.

With the new responsibilities, the concerned officials are expected to maintain effective oversight in their respective allocated areas and give top priority to the implementation of the government's public welfare schemes and important projects.

Following this reorganization, there are strong expectations of increased efficiency and speed in Bhopal regarding the settlement of revenue-related matters, the law and order situation, election preparations, grievance redressal, and the operation of various development projects.
